Really cool band.
Born out of a regular Wednesday night gig at Momo's, the music created by this rocking Americana band has been described as, "a love letter to the past and, at the same time, a postcard to the future."
They recently earned national acclaim when Rolling Stone named their fifth and latest album, Duende, one of the top 25 country and Americana records of the year. From the album, see their videos, “Deep Is Love" and "All I'm Asking."
Really worthy cause.
According to a groundbreaking two-year study from The University of Texas there are almost 79,000 minors and youth victims of sex trafficking in Texas today.
The Refuge for DMST (Domestic Minor Sex Trafficking) is developing The Refuge Ranch, a long-term, residential, therapeutic community and foster placement agency for 48 girls, minors through age 19, who have been rescued out of sex trafficking. Located on 50 acres in a beautiful and restorative setting outside of Austin, TX, The Refuge Ranch will provide trauma-informed, holistic care for the girls on-site, including: a University of Texas Charter School program, a People’s Community Clinic and various therapeutic programs uniquely designed for the development of a child survivor. The Refuge Ranch will be one of the only long-term, live-in rehabilitation facilities for child survivors of sex trafficking in the United States.
